Even on vacation, some familiar new practices can pop up.

Over Memorial Day weekend, I was lucky enough to meet some friends south of London where we toured Petworth House – a Downton Abbey-esque manor and grounds that have been turned into a museum and vast public park.

The brochure and map I picked up on the way in had these suggestions for the top 10 ways to get the most out the experience:

  • Pause
  • Ask
  • Find
  • Feel
  • Notice
  • Rest
  • Stroll
  • Learn
  • Listen
  • Explore

Sounds a lot like a topic list for practicing personal leadership, right? And, the list works equally well in the English countryside and during a break from a stressful day at work.

It’s great when the concepts learned in one aspect of your life start weaving into and building up other parts and become embedded in everything you do.

How is your personal leadership journey popping-up in your life?
