If you Google “work-life balance” there are 362,000,000 results. Clearly, it’s a hot topic.

I bet many of you think about work-life balance.

Or dream of work-life balance.

Or wonder what work-life balance is.

At a client meeting the other day, the CEO made the argument that if you love getting up in the morning, if you’re passionate about what you do; maybe it isn’t about work-life balance, but work-life integration.

And that got me thinking…I don’t think it’s about balance or integration. I think it’s figuring out how going to work doesn’t actually feel like going to work. What better way to do that then to ask yourself a simple question:

What inspires or excites me?

I challenge you to say your answer out loud. Tell someone. Give yourself permission to dream.

It won’t happen overnight, but it won’t ever happen if you don’t start believing that it could.

If you want work-life balance, pursue your passions. Figure out a way to make going to work every day not seem like going to work every day.

Tell me: what are you really passionate about? Let’s figure out how to get that ball rollin’!
